If you haven’t seen it yet, check out our video explaining what SOPA and PIPA are and why you should care about these bills:

Pass the video on to all of your friends so we can fight SOPA/PIPA together! Even if you aren’t from the United States, these potential laws affect you; they affect every Internet user.
The best way to fight SOPA/PIPA is to contact representatives from your state and voice your opinions. You can find contact information at house.gov.
If you want to read more about SOPA and PIPA, we recommend the following posts here at BlogWorld and on other blogs:

Updated to add: There’s a really awesome post called SOPA for Dummies: A Simple Explanation of the Truth by Paul Nyhart over at The Jace Hall Show that I highly recommend checking out, especially if you want to understand why Internet users scare the pants off of Hollywood executives.
I also recommend checking out 25 Brilliant Bloggers Talk about SOPA, where you’ll find even more links, and though I’m not a lawyer, if you have questions or comments, feel free to find me on Twitter (@allison_boyer) and I’ll do my best to answer you or direct you to someone who can.
For those of you asking, you can change your social media avatars to ad a Stop SOPA band (or choose one of the other designs) at BlackoutSOPA.

@OldZorah the senator from PA thinks it’s a great idea…..I know he is wrong
@Iron_Jester At one time, I might have agreed, until I thought through the drawbacks. Well-intentioned meddling is bad legislation.
@OldZorah I just think that SOPA is a bad idea, the only people this will harm is law abiding citizens.
@Iron_Jester Like banning incandescent light bulbs,it sounds like a good idea, until the ramifications are thought through. Then it’s too late
@Iron_Jester By the way, did you see that George Lucas is retiring?
