Does it feel like we are in a season of social media networks adding new features and making announcements? With the launch of Google+, it seems like both Twitter and Facebook are doing what they can to stay ahead of the curve and give their users as many new features as possible.
Twitter announced via their official blog yesterday, two new features which are designed to give us more. More of what? More ways to discover everything Twitter has to offer.
The first new feature is the @username tab. Just click on the new tab with your username and see which of your tweets are favorites, who retweeted you, tweets sent to you and your new followers.
The second new feature is the Activity tab, which “provides a rich new source of discovery by highlighting the latest Favorites, Retweets, and Follows from the people you follow on Twitter – all in one place”.
Some of you may notice these new features already. Twitter is gradually rolling these out to everyone.
What do you think of these new features and do they seem beneficial to you?
These look like fluff to me. Would be nice to not have to copy and paste when retweeting.
