BlogWorld L.A. 2011: What’s New?

Author:

The BlogWorld team is just back from planning and strategy meetings in Los Angeles and San Diego, and while it was quite the commute for some, OK, one of us, it was worth the six hour plane ride in either direction to plan some wonderful new programs for BlogWorld. Our location isn’t the only thing that’s new.

In addition to the excellent educational content you’ve come to rely on, you can still expect to be turned on to new products and ideas in our exhibit floor, plus sessions from the leaders in our industry,  fun parties to network and let your hair down a bit, and networking and connecting with both old and new friends.

We’re also pleased to announce some new additions to the BlogWorld lineup, and we think you’re going to like them too.

Workshops: Something we’ve been wanting to do for some time is to bring you in depth workshops where you do more than listen. Now, we have the space to do so. Attendees will walk away from our workshops having put practices into play. Our goal in to have a classroom setting where you will walk in with your laptop and walk away not only having learned, but having done. Many of these workshops are two hours long and when they’re over attendees will have bounced their ideas or what they learned with their instructor and the others in the room. Some of our planned workshops are photography, video,  humor writing, SEO, and public speaking. We’ll announce dates, times and teachers for these workshops very soon.

Track Keynotes: We’re going to open each morning with three concurrent “track keynotes.” These don’t replace our traditional keynotes, but instead of having 18 concurrent sessions first thing in the morning, we’ll have three outstanding Track Keynoters to start your day off right. We  have some of your favorite speakers lined up for these keynotes and will make those announcements over the next few weeks. These will be followed by the more traditional sessions.

Networking Breakfasts: Don’t stay out partying too late, because you’ll want to get to the Convention Center early. We’re leading off each morning with a networking breakfast. Make new friends, connect with old friends and spend time with our speakers, exhibitors and sponsors. we know the cost of attending BlogWorld can add up, hopefully by covering breakfast, we’ll give you one less thing to worry about.

There are more announcements coming up. We hope you like what we have in store so far, and when you see our upcoming announcement you’ll know it only gets better.

What do you think of our new additions? Tell us in the comments!

Deb, sounds like it’s going to the best blogworld yet. I love the workshops idea. Can’t wait to be in la. Maybe I’ll take some bloggers out surfing 🙂

Maybe we should have a BlogWorld surfing contest? Or beach party?

My idea switch won’t turn off.

I would love a surfing contest. Although we’d have to convince people to put on a wetsuit and jump in really cold water.
